Illinois Welcomes Russian Migration Experts

This March, a team of migration experts from Yekaterinburg, Russia visited the city of Urbana-Champaign, Illinois for eight days of interviews and site visits to study the administrative process for migration in the United States. Although they were far from home, the issues they came to study were immediately familiar.

Announcing U.S.-Russian Journalism Co-Reporting Project

Nominations are sought for CSPP Media Working Group's U.S.-Russian Journalism Co-Reporting Project, which seeks to cover issues both countries face. All interested Russian and the U.S. journalists are welcome to apply. The deadline for submissions is April 22, 2013. Authors of the winning stories will be awarded Ipads.

Corporate Ethics Top Working Group’s Agenda

CSPP’s Anti-Corruption and Business Ethics Working Group is making inroads into raising awareness about corporate compliance with ethical norms and international standards. From February 11– 15, the Working Group conducted a series of roundtables in Moscow with more than 300 representatives from multinational companies, Russian businesses, government, academia, and civil society.

Bridging Foster Child Systems in the US and Russia

This week social service practitioners from Santa Clara, California return to Moscow to continue training and networking project with Russian counterparts that began in 2012. The project, known as “Building Bridges to Support Children without Parental Care in Family-Based Settings” helps professionals better manage an orphan’s transition from institutions to foster care.

The US-Russia Civil Society Partnership Program (CSPP) promotes collaboration between Russian and US NGOs, leading to meaningful improvement in the lives of the citizens of both countries.
